Peter Danenberg

Owner/Level 1 Certified Trainer
Peter found CrossFit as an exit strategy from rugby, where he was known, at Harvard, Pasadena and Freiburg, as the “gentle giant.” He managed to snag a top-ten at the OC Throwdown; and has trained at CF boxes in Los Angeles, Monrovia, Pasadena, Santa Monica, San Francisco, San Jose, San Mateo, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Copenhagen, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Milwaukee, New York, and Montclair, NJ.

In decreasing order of fluency, he knows German, Greek, Latin, French, Latvian, Hebrew and Sanskrit; plays Bach, Rach and Beethoven; and programs for a living.


Tom Scoble

Owner/Level 1 Certified Trainer
Tom Scoble grew up as an athlete: ski racing, lacrosse, soccer and tennis formed the foundation of his competitive years of junior high through his time at UCLA. Tom was introduced to CrossFit in 2009, but didn’t find a home at a box until March of 2010. Since then he has been hooked. After watching the regionals and the Games this year, Tom’s commitment to CrossFit has lead him to want to share it with others in his community. After successfully completing the CrossFit Level 1 Certification seminar, he was eager to begin sharing it with others.
Tom is also passionate about food and nutrition and does one on one nutritional counseling. He owns a successful landscape construction company, Mother Magnolia, Inc. and loves to spend time with his wife Kathleen and their two boys Champe and Griffin.


 

Aris Gregorian

Level 1 Certified Trainer
Born and raised in Northern California, Aris Gregorian became interested in fitness and weight lifting at 10 years old when he first discovered the existence of a gym. His interest in functional training and athletics began in 2006, which ultimately lead to his discovery of Crossfit shortly thereafter. Aris Gregorian is Level-1 Certified and has spent countless hours researching training methods for mobility, strength, and endurance.

Aris received his Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University, and after 3 years of experience as an engineer in the aerospace industry, chose to move to Southern California to study Intellectual Property Law. Also he can bench 335 pounds – just so you know.


 

Raymond Brian Ciria

Level 1 Certified Trainer
Being a fitness and adrenaline junky, Raymond started to get bored with going to the typical “globo gym.” He was in search of something that would challenge and push his mental and physical capacity. Through research, he found CrossFit in November 2010. Since then, CrossFit has changed his outlook on what fitness and training. Raymond has been introduced to new movements and techniques, such as, Olympic lifts and Kettlebells. As he continues his journey into CrossFIt, he has seen and felt an amazing difference in his overall health. Seeing this transformation within himself, he now has a strong desire to share CrossFit with others. He has decided to continue to extend his work in the CrossFit community by becoming a trainer and by pursuing a Physical Therapy Degree.


 

Max Wilhite

Level 1 Certified Trainer
Max Wilhite, aka Sean Penn, is one of the best and brightest to emerge from the smoke and haze of San Marino High. He ran a blistering 40, crushed it on the grid iron, and now enjoys testing his limits as a CrossFit athlete and trainer. Currently he is the head coach of the Glendale High School freshman football program.


 

Cody Vella

Level 1 Certified Trainer
Cody Vella grew up playing competitive sports, Swimming in rivers and hiking the mountains of Humboldt County, CA where he grew up. This lead to him finding a passion for health and fitness at a very young age. Switching from his typical gym routine to CrossFit in early 2008 he found a love for helping others, coaching and competing. In 2010 he relocated to Los Angeles to begin his journey as a CrossFit coach and athlete and hasn’t looked back since.

With years of experience and knowledge in coaching he is committed to helping as many people as possible reach their goals and impact their lives in a positive way.


 

Shayla Danenberg

Level 1 Certified Trainer
Shayla has her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. While studying fitness and health promotion, she got certified to teach group fitness and taught spinning classes for 4 years. After years of motivating other she felt like it would be valuable to find an activity that varied in movement and would motivate her to set new goals. She found the crossfit community and was inspired to better herself as an athlete and person. She is currently working on her Master’s in Occupational Therapy; where she helps people rehabilitate in daily activities after an injury.


 

Marisa Thomas

Level 1 Certified Trainer

Marisa found CrossFit, funny enough, through a guy at a bar who overheard her conversation and told her to check it out. Coming off of collegiate rowing at UCSB, personal training, and group fitness classes, she was looking for a faster paced and more diverse workout to take her fitness to the next level. After joining a box and getting started with the Paleo diet Marisa noticed a drastic change in her strength, speed, and body. She got Level 1 certified with one of the coolest crews of the CrossFit elite and brings over a year of coaching experience and 3 years of CrossFit knowledge. With some solid competitions and performances under her belt, Marisa has set her goal to make it to the CrossFit Regionals in 2012. She has thoroughly enjoyed what everyone refers to as the “cult of crossfit” and is thrilled to coach and share the rips, tears, shin scrapes, and sweat.


 

Aaron Gatdula

Level 1 Certified Trainer

Born in Pasadena, CA, Aaron was a very active kid growing up, always outdoors and playing competitive basketball throughout high school. He is extremely passionate about all of what CrossFit has to offer: the healthy active lifestyle, meeting new people who share his addiction to torn-up hands, scraped-up shins, and music blasting to the sounds of weights clanking and dropping on the box floor. Aaron loves that Crossfit is constantly varied and that Crossfit is constantly humbling; everyday at the box presents a new challenge. He likes to keep it fun while helping others to achieve their fitness goals. He also enjoys warming up and rolling out to Bob Marley, but will WOD to anything with a good beat. His favorite Crossfit movements are the Thruster and Butterfly pull-up. His favorite WOD is “Fran;” his least favorite WOD is also “Fran.” He can be seen WODing while wearing a cape from time to time and enjoys nice long walks on the beach. AKA Kid Rx.
